MARVELOUS MONDAY : SHELLY'S IMAGES

Marvelous Monday is celebrated today by me showing you an image from Shelly's Images store called "Flower Girl", just prefect for all those weddings coming up in June.

I have coloured her in pinks, and cut out the image using a die, and matted onto a scrap of bridal scrapbooking paper. Two strips of paper 'ribbon' and a minibouquet of roses to tie in with the theme, are the embellishments.

I'd love to see what you've made using this image.

Thanks for looking, and before I allow you to leave my page, I'd like to share some useful links with you :

SHANNON'S SENTIMENTS CHALLENGE : SATURDAY 28 MAY

The challenge at Shannon's Sentiments today is to use the words "friend" or "friendship", and to use the colours black, white, green and purple.
My card for your inspiration uses one of my most favourite quotations and I am so glad that Shannon has it in her store as a digi.

Besides using the sentiment, I used the oval frame from Shannon's Sentiments store, as well as the rose which I copied three times. The image is coloured using Copics. I used a flourish cut from black cardstock and the embossed background is made using a Cuttlebug folder.

The challenge blog will give you all the details of the fabulous prize to be won, and you'll also be able to see the stunning creations made by the design team.

A DAY FOR DAISIES - NEW RELEASES : FRIDAY 7 MAY

I think the style of Tammy's digital drawing is PERFECTLY SUITED to the Asian sets she has released today.

I have used "Green lady" which is the set pictured above, and this is the card that I have made:

The image is coloured in black and white, and I have added red as my added colour. Her kimono is paper pieced, after it was heat embossed using clear sparkle embossing powder, and the remainder of the image was coloured using colour pencils and OMS.

I added embellishments in the form of sewn on pearls in her hair, roses, two stick pins I made, and roses coloured using food colouring. The BP is an offcut(so I am unsure of the company). The oval is a Nellie's Choice die cut embellished with sewn on pearls.

The images you see above are not the only new releases today, there are a few more sets, just as beautiful as this one! Click HERE to see them all.

I used one of the certificates from MS Publisher and added my own wording, and the GOAL!!! image from Shelly's Images, and coloured using my Copics. the only embellies I used were some cute soccer balls left over from my 2011 World Cup Soccer projects last year!

Shelly has some really fabulous images, just perfect for your Father's Day projects, and I'd love to see what you've made using this image.

I LOVE WAX FRUIT COMPANY IMAGES!!!! YES I DO!!!

This is a card I made for the Friday Copics Markers Challenge on 20 May on The Outlawz. The image is from Wax Fruit Company where the fabulously talented artist, Arielle, has some really stunning images!

The image is called "Gerber Daisy" and I used the quarter, half and full versions of the digistamp. I coloured using Copics and a blender pen and layered the image.
Doesn't it look fantastic like that?

SHANNON'S SENTIMENTS SATURDAY CHALLENGE #27 : BIRTHDAYS

The Challenge this week on Shannon's SentIments is BIRTHDAYS!

Create a project using a "birthday" theme, this can be anything from cards to layouts, banners to gift packaging, or how about party favors! Let your imagination run wild and share those birthday projects with us for a chance to win!

To play along, just add your post link to the Mr. Linky widget on the sidebar for the May challenges. Mr. Linky will close for the month on Friday, June 3rd at 11:59pm EST. Please don't include your link in just the comments....for fear it will get lost along the way and not counted toward the monthly prizes.

For your inspiration, I have made a Birthday card for a special friend whose birthday is coming up in a week or two, and used a sentiment from Shannon's store, where you will find this and many many other fabulous s4ntiments and images.

I look forward to seeing what you create!

FRIDAYS mean .... A DAY FOR DAISIES NEW RELEASES!!!!

This week I have another set of fairy tale images to share with you......

CINDERELLA and the tiny glass slipper:

I made a waterfall card, with each of the three images in the CAS technique.
The first image is of Cinderella losing her shoe while running down the stairs at the stroke of midnight. The image is coloured in Copics, coloured pencils and OMS, with crystal Stickles highlights.

The second image is of the glass slipper, which is 3D decoupage. The top layer of the slipper is double heat embossed, first with crystal clear embossing powder, and then with clear UTEE, to which I added some crystal powdered glitter. A crystal acrylic rhinestone is the embellishment on this one.

http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif
The third image is of the Prince discovering that the tiny glass slipper fits! The image is coloured using Copics, coloured pencils and OMS. I added a teeny tiny rhinestone (nail art gem) as a button on the Prince's sleeve, and accentuated the tiny glass slipper with some crystal Stickles. Did you notice those little mice down in the corner under Cinderella's chair - aren't they just too cute?

The backing paper I used is from a Docrafts Papermania pack called "Birdsong" - a selection of 25 sheets of the most beautiful designs. The ribbons on the pull-down tag were various bits found in my stash.

These three beautiful images are not the only ones in the set - there are LOADS more! Click HERE to see them all.

PATTIES CREATIONS DESIGN CHALLENGE # 22 : NO, NO, NO CARDS !!!

Welcome to Challenge #22, where our theme is ANYTHING BUT A CARD!

For my 'no card' I made a teabag holder using the image Mother and Child from Pattie's Etsy Store. I chose to keep the colours soft and muted, so they would echo the name of the brand of tea, the fictitious "Pattie's Comfort Tea" - which new mother wouldn't love to sit down and have a comforting cup of tea in such a beautiful Royal Albert teacup? (The cup is one of a set of two which my very sweet (late) mum-in-law gave me last year.)

Now it's YOUR turn ... what NO CARD can you create for this challenge?

JUST REMEMBER, if you use an image from Pattie's Creations, you will get an extra entry to win!

Stop over at her Etsy Store and browse around. There are FREEBIES too.
The challenge starts now and ends Thursday, June 2nd at 1PM CST (Central Standard Time).
